Welcome to my new website featuring the blog, “It’s A Picture Perfect Life.” Here, you will find
all kinds of information about my photography adventures, fun photo shoots, and upcoming
sessions. I will also talk about “behind the scenes” including pullback shots from sessions and
much more!

For my first entry, I decided to feature one of my favorite types of sessions from this past
summer. Pinterest inspired, stylized fishing pictures along the Little Pee Dee River and other
areas near the water, were a HUGE hit! Not to mention, these sessions were fun for the kids. It
allowed them to play in the water’s edge and even hold a goldfish bowl featuring a live fish…
well, we ended up having two of those. Think of it kinda like a stunt double 😉

You can obviously see that I love photographing kids just being themselves and when you
combine that with something that sparks their curiosity, you create magic! One of my favorite
“River Sessions” was actually with a little boy named Rivers and his daddy. I loved how they
interacted throughout the entire session. It wasn’t posed, it was real. The love and emotion
was all them, not me – a photographer’s dream! Of course I plan to offer this type of session
again this summer and even more fun ideas will be coming from Julie Filyaw Photography.
