First, the necessary information…I am 39 years old and a graduate from The University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations. In my previous life, I have 7 years of Medical Office Management under my belt. I have been married for 17 years and have 2 children. My family is my entire world! I have a wonderful husband who supports this dream of mine and two children who are the main reason I love photography so much! I photograph my children as often as I can, and you will see them used frequently in ads or just when I try something fun or new!

Born and raised in Conway, SC, small town life was and is the life I want for my children. We moved to Aynor from Pamplico about 7 years ago so my husband would be closer to work, and the idea was I would be a stay-at-home Mom (which was always my dream). Little did I know, my long-time hobby of photography would turn into owning my own business and being busier than I could ever imagine!

Julie Filyaw Photography was founded in November of 2015. It is just me here-creating images that I hope capture your family’s real life and love for each other. I use all natural light and mainly photograph outdoors, but I also have a studio location. I do not like using props, rather, I want to see you hugging each other, playing, laughing and just being real. Communication between us is crucial to you LOVING your pictures. So, expect to talk to me a lot, whether it is via email, fb, text or phone calls. I am simple. Blankets and a grassy field on a sunny day make me smile. Let me help preserve the memories you never want to forget!

I also photograph for several different commercial clients. This is a bonus to my normal photography work, but in no way replaces the importance or priority of my regular clients or sessions.
